The end of summer and the beginning of fall are rapidly approaching. The village has scheduled a paper shredding company to service the Village on 17 September (9 AM to 1 PM).  This would be an  opportune time for residents to dispose of any legal documents that are no longer valid as well as any other documents that contain information that residents would deem a security    issue.
The second phase of the Village Hall is currently being completed.         Finishing touches are being applied and NYS Troopers are becoming familiar with their new facilities. Many thanks to John and Bill McNelis.  Both were instrumental as liaisons (2-3 years ago) for the relocation  process coming to fruition. This additional manpower affords residents increased police  protection and will allow the Village to reconsider other cost savings.
As to the procurement of materials for the Fire Hall/Village Hall, procedures need to improve. Government cannot expect residents to follow procedures when its performance could improve

The Village recently purchased 5 acres of land on Avondale for         approximately $125, 000.   No local government (city, village, town, or county) may   engage in real estate speculation.  If a city, village or town implemented an Urban Renewal or Municipal Redevelopment program, they could acquire  and sell property to facilitate that program, but absent such program, local government may not purchase property for uses other than a proper public purchase.   This land will be used for a park or some other Village facility.   Speculation by government in the private market has, in the past, proven disastrous.  What individual or  business can compete with the resources of government power?
The Village has in place a board  ratified resolution constructed to stop any external government entity from entering the Village and usurping its land  without Village permission.
