SPECIAL MEETING OF THE NORTH HORNELL BOARD OF TRUSTEES

AUGUST 27, 2009 7PM

Mayor Falci opened the meeting at 7PM.

DUMP TRUCK BIDS

The Bids for the ’98 dump truck were opened and the following amounts are noted:

            Michael Ordway - $6751

            Jim Testani         - $7275

Mayor Falci noted that the board does have the right to not accept either bid.

Trustee Glenn Thomas made a motion to accept the bid of $7275 from Jim Testani for the purchase of the 1998 Chevy Dump Truck. Motion was second by Trustee Libordi and carried.

The Clerk was directed to notify both Mr. Testani and Ordway.

APPROVAL OF STEUBEN TRUST ACCOUNT

A motion was made by Trustee Libordi to open a checking account  at Steuben Trust for the Fire hall capitol project. Motion was second by Trustee Peter DiRaimondo and carried.

The following Bids were read and recorded:

Mayor Falci made a motion to accept the bids, second by Trustee Thomas and carried.

Motion made by Mayor Falci to put the overhead doors for the fire hall out to bid. Motion was second by Trustee Dick and carried.

The fire hall bids were given to architect Rex Simpson.

He will put in spreadsheet form any alternates that are listed in the bids along with the base bids. This will be given to the board along with his recommendations.  Trustee Thomas asked about bid bonds. Mr. Simpson responded that bid bonds were not required, only a performance bond for the successful bidder.

A meeting has been set for September 8, 2009 at 6PM to accept a bid for the fire hall construction. The bids for the overhead doors will also be opened. The Clerk was directed to post meetings in the Tribune legal ads.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:30PM on a motion by Trustee Dick. Motion was second by Trustee DiRaimondo and carried.
