The Mayor

John Falci

Hello, my name is John Falci, and I have served on the Village board since the early nineties. I am a 38-year Veteran of the Hornell City School District. As a trustee, I served on many committees and as deputy mayor for many years. As mayor, I hope to continue to preserve the quality of life we have in the village while promoting commercial development on highway Rt. 36. I have been married to Deborah Falci for the past 28 years. Debbie is a teacher at Arkport Central School. I have a son named Jake who will graduate from Hornell High School in 2006. I invite you to our village board meeting on the second Monday of each month.

The Trustees

Peter DiRaimondo

Hello, my name is Peter DiRaimondo and I am the newest member on the Board. I would like to thank the Village  resident for giving me the opportunity to serve a a Trustee. I have lived in the Village since 1987. It is a wonderful place to live, work and raise children. I worked for the Hornell Post Office and I am now retired. There are several projects that I am proud to be a part. I look forward to working with the Mayor and the Board on any issues that are brought to our attention.

Glenn Thomas

Hello, my name is Glenn Thomas. I have served the Village of North Hornell for 5 years as Village Trustee. I am a retired Social Studies teacher who enjoyed working for 34 years at Hornell High School. I currently reside at 457 Cleveland Ave. with my wife Shelly and my daughter Megan. I also have two sons, Craig and Brent. I look forward to serving you, the citizens of North Hornell in any way that I can.

Joseph Dick

Hello, my name is Joe Dick and I am in the second year of my term as Village of North Hornell Trustee. This is not my first time as Village Trustee as I was appointed to fill an unexpired term on the village board by the late Mayor Steve Terry. I then ran for the remaining year of that term. I am a local born person of the area and lived on Duane St in the City of Hornell. I spent several years learning the plumbing trade around the area. With work slow I went to work for the former General Electric Company in Hornell where I worked until it closed. At that time I went to work for the State of New York at Groveland Correctional Facility in Sonyea, New York. I presently work at the Livingston Correctional Facility in Sonyea, New York. I am married to Linda (Barney) Dick and we have lived for the past 23 years at 386 First Street in the Village. We have been married for 30 years in July of this year 2006, and have a son named Damien. I currently am a member of the North Hornell Volunteer Fire Company where I have served for 20 years. I've held several different assistant fire chiefs positions as well as served as Fire Chief for several years. I serve on the town of Hornellsville Planning board, the Steuben County Fire Chiefs association, the Village of North Hornell representative to the Hornell Area Transit (HAT), and have sat on the village Zoning Board of Appeals. I also officiate both boys and girl’s high school swimming and work doing the sidelines markers for the Hornell Football team and the timer for the Hornell Track team.

Frank Libordi

Hello, my name is Frank Libordi and I have served as a Trustee for the past 3 years. I am a graduate of Alfred State College, Alfred University, and Elmira College. I am currently a US History and Government teacher at Hornell High School. I reside at 51 Third  St with my wife Kristene, and am a member of the public work committee in the Village. I am more than happy to help serve you, the village citizens  during my term in office.

The Clerk

Kristene Libordi

Hello, my name is Kristene Libordi and I have been appointed the position of Village Clerk for the Village of North Hornell. I am very happy to be working for the Board and hope that I can offer my abilities in any way shape or form to help our small community grow.
In April of this year the Village Board appointed Deborah Pomeroy as the new Deputy Clerk/Registrar. Debbie has a background in real property tax from Steuben County. We welcome her!
